April 2013:

Home Run is pleased to announce that this year's winners of 'Landlord of the Year' are Allan and Penny Sutton. Allan and Penny attended the Union Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 16th April and were presented with the title of 'Landlord of the Year 2013' and a winner's certificate.

June 2012:

May 2012:

We've put together a handy sheet containing information about moving out and getting rid of various household items. Please, if possible, print this out and put it up in a visible place in your rental properties. You can find it here.

March 2012 :

Home Run would like to congratulate Nigel and Glenis Langley on winning 'Landlord of the Year 2012' at the Union Awards. They attended and were presented with the award just prior to Easter. Students nominated them and commented they had been meaning to do so for a few years.

March 2011:

Home Run would like to congratulate Jim Kelly on winning 'Landlord of the Year' at the Union Awards. Nominations for this award came directly from students and we'd like to thank Jim for providing accommodation and a service that our students want to praise!

Jan 2011:

The Home Run list for academic year 2011/12 has been released and can be viewed here. The list remains active all year round, so if you're interested in becoming accredited you can register anytime. 

Nov 2010:

We are now accepting registrations for academic year 2011/12. Current Home Run landlords should receive re-registration details via post within the next few days. If you are not currently registered but wish to accredit with Home Run please see our registration information.

Oct 2010:

With effect from October 1st there will be a change to legislation which raises the annual rental threshold for assured, including assured shorthold tenancies to £100,000 per annum. Previously the threshold was £25,000 per annum. For more information please see the Communities and Local Government website.

Sept 2010:

In response to the planning changes outlined below, the change of government has also prompted a change of legislation. 

Grant Shapps - the Housing Minister - has laid two statutory instruments which will come into effect from 1st October that will again mean that planning permission is not required if a property is let to unrelated people (i.e. an HMO) rather than a family. If you are not familiar with what these changes refer to, please read more here.
