Home Run would like to congratulate Jim Kelly on winning 'Landlord of the Year' at the Union Awards. Nominations for this award came directly from students and we'd like to thank Jim for providing accommodation and a service that our students want to praise!

Oct 2010:

With effect from October 1st there will be a change to legislation which raises the annual rental threshold for assured, including assured shorthold tenancies to £100,000 per annum. Previously the threshold was £25,000 per annum. For more information please see the Communities and Local Government website.

Sept 2010:

In response to the planning changes outlined below, the change of government has also prompted a change of legislation.

Grant Shapps - the Housing Minister - has laid two statutory instruments which will come into effect from 1st October that will again mean that planning permission is not required if a property is let to unrelated people (i.e. an HMO) rather than a family. If you are not familiar with what these changes refer to, please read more here.
