The Union of UEA Students is profoundly shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of its Entertainments Manager, Nick Rayns.
Chief Executive
Derek Bowden, Chief Executive of the Union of UEA Students, has today announced that he is moving on to a new role and will be resigning from the Union.

The ‘Sustainability Challenge’ has been created to inspire your groups to develop projects that are ‘socially enterprising’ which will contribute to the sustainability of your club, society or peer support group. The project must be:
Socially Enterprising -An innovative NEW project which doesn’t just benefit individuals but supports your group as a whole and ideally will have knock-on benefits for the wider community.
Sustainable- A project that contributes to your society, its survival and growth beyond your involvement… You’ve got to show that what you do will have benefits in the long term.
You will need to attend a workshop, and then fill out an application form. Workshops will be
1-2 on the 12th in 1.31 Union House
1-2 on the 13th in 1.31 Union House
5-6 on the 14th in 1.33 Union House

IMPORTANT NEWS for clubs, societies and peer support groups...
All clubs, societies and peer support groups- your committee must sign up to the new code of conduct by Friday the 19th of October. Failure to do so will result in your group being suspended. We are taking this action to ensure that you as committee members understand the responsibility you have for your members and to keep you and your members as safe as is possible. If you have any questions, please speak to Joe Levell, Ian Welch or Lynne Simpkin in Union House.

RRR Volunteers needed!
Reduce Reuse Recycle (RRR) is a Union of UEA Students’ and UEA scheme to divert thousands of items from landfill. Kitchenware is sold to incoming students and other items including clothing, footwear and electrical goods are donated to charities.

Volunteers are now needed to sell the kitchen goods that have been collected from halls.
