Advice Centre banner

The Union Advice Centre provides an independent, free and confidential service open to all UEA students. You can pick up leaflets and information about a range of subjects and the friendly staff can offer face-to-face advice on just about anything. If we can’t help you, we’ll send you to someone who can.


Academic Advice

Click here for advice on issues relating to studying at UEA such as changing course, moving to a different university, taking a year out, and guidance through the University’s appeals, complaints and disciplinary procedures.


Employment Advice

All the latest information on employment legislation including the national minimum wage, trade unions, income tax and national insurance.


Financial Advice

Information on where to go for support relating to student finances from loans, fees and funding, to managing debt and benefits advice.


Housing Advice

For househunting advice, your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, the rights and responsibilities of your landlord, and help with any problem you may face living in rented property or University residences.


General Advice

For everything else; on health and student wellbeing, crime and student safety and personal issues.  We also have free contraception.
