Referendum

A referendum is when all students are invited to vote on a single, important issue.

For example, in the past, referenda have been called to oppose the builidng of a multi-storey car park on campus, to no longer sell Nestle products in Union outlets along with many other issues.

A referendum can be called by:
the Trustee Board,
the Student Officer Committee,
Union Council or
a petition signed by 500 UEA students.
