UEA Drama Soc with Josef Weinberger Ltd Presents 'Into the Woods', a musical by Stephen Sonheim. Tickets £3.50, on sale in the hive Week 10.
Rob Sewell, author of 'In the Cause of Labour: A History of British Trade Unionism' will give a talk and question and answer session on the topic 'Is Marxism Relevant Today?'. This will be highly informative for those who wish to know more about Marxism, Socialism, or activism.

ITV is looking for people connected to UEA who would like to be involved in ITV Anglia’s Current Affairs programme “Anglia Special Edition” ? The next episode is about Norfolk lottery winner Michael Carroll and we are looking for a “jury” of 12 people to determine from the evidence they see, if he is bad or sad !
Filming is taking place at Anglia (City Centre studio) on Thursday 25th May between 6.30pm and 8pm. All the evidence would have already been recorded and the jury will be filmed deliberating and then giving their verdict.
The actual programme TX’s the following Tuesday, 30th May, 7.30pm on ITV1

Writer/spoken word artist Christopher Gutierrez will be talking about his newest book, A Life Deliberate, and will be having a Q&A session afterwards.
Christopher Gutierrez is a writer and spoken word artist who has published 2 books, A Life Deliberate and On The Upswing Of Life, Love, and Regret , and released a spoken word CD, The Dirt Of An Electric Boy. His writing is mostly memoirs with varied short stories about everything from his childhood in Chicago to touring with top national bands to relationships gone awry to participating in the running of the bulls in Spain. Both his books are currently in second printings. Christopher Gutierrez is also a Buzznet "Buzzmaker" Blogger and covers musical events and interviews bands for Buzznet.

The growing number of students starting up their own business whilst studying at university is to be recognised in a new Award to be launched this week and by a new name - The Unipreneurs.
Marrow is holding a recruitment clinic on Wednesday 21st November from 1pm-5pm in the LCR. Marrow is a student run society on behalf of The Anthony Nolan Trust, which aims to recruit bone marrow donors. At this event we aim to get as many students as possible to give a blood sample and join people across the world on a bone marrow donor register, so that one day you may save a life!!
This Sunday we see 10 great local bands battle it out for the title of the 'Next Big Thing' in Norwich.

Writer/spoken word artist Christopher Gutierrez will be talking about his newest book, A Life Deliberate, and will be having a Q&A session afterwards.
Christopher Gutierrez is a writer and spoken word artist who has published 2 books, A Life Deliberate and On The Upswing Of Life, Love, and Regret , and released a spoken word CD, The Dirt Of An Electric Boy. His writing is mostly memoirs with varied short stories about everything from his childhood in Chicago to touring with top national bands to relationships gone awry to participating in the running of the bulls in Spain. Both his books are currently in second printings. Christopher Gutierrez is also a Buzznet "Buzzmaker" Blogger and covers musical events and interviews bands for Buzznet.

Marrow is holding a recruitment clinic on Wednesday 21st November from 1pm-5pm in the LCR. Marrow is a student run society on behalf of The Anthony Nolan Trust, which aims to recruit bone marrow donors. At this event we aim to get as many students as possible to give a blood sample and join people across the world on a bone marrow donor register, so that one day you may save a life!!
This Sunday we see 10 great local bands battle it out for the title of the 'Next Big Thing' in Norwich.

ITV is looking for people connected to UEA who would like to be involved in ITV Anglia’s Current Affairs programme “Anglia Special Edition” ? The next episode is about Norfolk lottery winner Michael Carroll and we are looking for a “jury” of 12 people to determine from the evidence they see, if he is bad or sad !
Filming is taking place at Anglia (City Centre studio) on Thursday 25th May between 6.30pm and 8pm. All the evidence would have already been recorded and the jury will be filmed deliberating and then giving their verdict.

We are delighted to announce that Yvonne Ridley will be joining us for an evening to share her Amazing story - how she as a leading War Journalist was held CAPTIVE BY THE TALEBAN and her ordeal with them, her experiences post-release and her spiritual journey in the years that followed.
In this rare opportunity, we have an excellent chance to understand a spectrum of issues ranging from the Media, Politics, War, Spirituality, Women in Islam and Human Rights Issues amongst many others from an iconic figure in the UK.

Community Centre Makeover.
Lots of Volunteers are needed to to Jazz up Jubilee Community Centre in Easter Holidays. It's going to be a really fun relaxed day, lots of music, plenty of refreshments and great communtiy spirit. No experience needed just the ability to hold a paintbrush and every volunteer gets a free slap up lunch.
A night of top quality Boxing, brought to you by the UEA's very own Boxing club.

The LCR will be transformed like you've never seen it with a full size professional 14ft ring in the centre of the dance floor. There will of course be a bar, lights, music, and all the other glitz and glamour of a Vegas style Fight Night! Tickets are available to UEA Campus card holders only (both on purchase AND on the door). This is a strict UEA only event, with limited numbers on sale so make sure you get in quick.
