Postgraduate Students
As a postgraduate student, you’re likely to have a lot more on your plate than undergrads. But you are still members of the Union. This means that you are still represented by its officers, and you can still join any of the campaigns and clubs and societies. Involvement with the Union may well be the perfect complement to your pressured academic life, and your skills and expertise will be highly valued by the groups you choose to join.
Case Study: Felix Pithan, Msc Climate Change
"The people I met and activities I participated in through the Union and its clubs and societies were a great part of my experience as a masters student at UEA. Spending weekends in the mountains with Fell club was also a great way of getting my head off studying from time to time - and I would have had so many more great things to do if only the year had been longer!"
Postgraduate Students’ Officer - Lydia Sosa-Vargas

"Hi, I'm a 3rd year PhD student at the School of Chemistry and the current president of the Graduate Students Association (GSA). My main role is to represent and promote the interests of postgraduate students, and to provide a means of communication between us and the University. Being a postgrad can be very different from life before graduation, so I’m dedicated solely to representing your interests."
