Coaches

 Beginners Coach: Dave Richards

Dave has been around volleyball all his life and has been playing competitively since his early teens. He was captain of the Priory Juniors team (1998-2004) and captain of the Priory Mens team (2003-2005). Dave was a member of the Southwest U15/U17 squad (1999-2003) who were winners of the Inter Regional Tournament in 2000 and 2002. Dave recently qualified as an EVA coach and is captain of UEA Mens team as well as society President.

 Men's Coach: Keith Nicholls

Keith came to UEA in 1990 having spent 18 years as Director of PE at UWE-Bristol. At UEA Keith's responsibility is principally managing the activities of the Department of Physical Education and Sport, which incorporates the management of the Sportspark. He coaches the student men's volleyball team but his own volleyball career spans many decades including appearances for Great Britain. He qualified as an EVA coach in 1966, a staff coach in 1969 and an FIVB coach in 1972 and coached the GB student team at the world student games in 1991. He has written several volleyball coaching books.

 Women's Coach: Lilian Blot

Lilian started playing volleyball in 1986 in Deauville (France) and then played at county level in Herouville-saint-clair (France) from 1989-1994 as a setter. He stopped for a few years and then started playing again for Portsmouth University during the season 2000/2001. At the same time Lilian was training the Portsmouth University women volleyball team. He then played for UEA during the season 2002/2003. Since then, and now a qualified coach, he has been coaching UEA women’s volleyball team and the Norwich Ladies National League team.
