Autumn term is fast approaching and the club is getting ready for its influx of new members and welcoming back familiar faces. Anyone interesting in joining can come and see us in Freshers week at Sports Mart on Wednesday 24th September.

A massive thank you to the outgoing committee. Best of luck to everyone leaving and going out getting 'real' jobs. Also a big thank you to everyone who helped make 07/08 such a good year for UEA sailing - we have come a long way!

About The Club

We have a fleet of six Laser 2's and two Laser 2000's and sail at our main home, Oulton Broad, every weekend of term.

Our Second home is Whitlingham Watersports, 10 minutes from UEA which we use primarily for beginners sessions and RYA level 2 courses on smaller more training friendly boats. We will be using Whitlingham more and more this year to try and get as many people qualified as possible

Club Meetings are held every Thursday evening for general announcements, trip sign ups and theory sessions. These are usually followed by a swift few in the bar so are worth coming along to. They also form the start of many of our great socials.

We cater for everyone from complete beginners to experienced racers. We are a recognised RYA teaching establishment and run courses throughout the year. We take our race team across the country and last year came 2nd in the BUSA Inland Fleet Racing Championships.

Joining

The price of membership is yet to be confirmed, but will be £15 or less and will include use of all our equipment, including boats, wetsuits and buoyancy aids, and you get to be part of clearly the best club on campus!
