Match Report: Knights III v UEA II

The last time UEA II played Knights III they were narrowly defeated by a single goal. As a result, the UEA side were eager to face Knights once again in order to make this last match before Christmas a win. A shaky start meant that within the first 15 minutes of the game Knights were 2-0 up. This was soon reduced to a 1 goal lead following a fantastic long shot from Gareth. A strong defence and a few unfortunate misses bought UEA into halftime 2-1 down.

A quick halftime talk from second team coaches Paul and Jimmy meant that the team entered the second half highly energised and motivated in order to hit up a few more goals and get ahead of Knights.

Some excellent passing and movement from UEA allowed Alex to level the score 2-2 with Knights. However, this was short lived as Knights scored their 3rd goal of the game making the score 3-2. A penalty was soon converted by first team player Swaraj to bring the score up to 3-3. This was later followed by a cool free pass from Laura allowing UEA to take a 4-3 lead over Knights. A solid defence and a great goal from Sarah in the dying minutes meant that UEA would walk away with a 5-3 victory over Knights III.
