Having literally come straight from Nottingham, the scene of UEA's triumphant third succesive BUSA Nationals victory, their Norfolk League game against Stingers II had an air of the surreal about it.
Despite some aching limbs and joints, UEA were able to establish a quick lead through Danny, who failed to score in 210 minutes of Nationals Korfball, yet need only 2 to score at CNS. The lead didn't stretch as rapidly as one would normally expect of UEA against the league's bottom side. Howevever, they were rarely tested and sank goals from a whole host of scorers, most notably a hatrick from Paul, who doubled his season's tally in one game, and Lizzy who's single goal was her first for UEA I this season.
However, this result will not live long in the memory of the UEA players, March 4th 2007 will most certainly be remembered for entirely different reasons.
