Match Report: Norwich Ice I v UEA I

After a great performance last week the 1sts were looking for their 2nd straight win- standing in their way of this was a familiar looking Ice team. Having added Ami and Danny to their already strong squad a tough test lay ahead. Within minutes UEA were unfortunately 4-0 down. After a quick regrouping team talk the 1sts played some great attacking korfball and managed to pull the score back to 4-2. A superb long shot from Hannah and a lovely rebound off the back foot from Becca (saved someone’s penalty blushes!). Things were looking up, but again Ice came back stronger, 7-2 at half time. UEA started the 2nd half brighter, and the score eventually moved to 10-4. Katie scoring a lovely long shot (which then stirred up a hornets nest and Ami retaliated with a couple of her own). A penalty from Alex kept the scoreboard ticking. It wasn’t to be though on the day and the game finished 15-4. A good debut from Adam Knight’s should be mentioned and the 1sts will be back stronger next week.

As the match reports are now totally unbiased…. it should be said that Paul was all over Danny, and he can moan all he wants about the penalty that was rightly given as a free pass!
