After a cracking UEA tournie and an even better social the previous day, what a better way to top off the weekend with a league match against top of the table and national league side Knights? It would be fair to say that going into this game the Knights side were down two of their strongest players due to injury and were feeling demoralised after their national league defeat earlier that day. However UEA saw this as an opportunity to at least ‘have a go’ and try to capitalise on this! Quoting our coach: “the first 10mins where awesome!” A quick goal from old timer, Jimmy put UEA in the lead at the beginning– if only for a few mins after a response from Knights and a change of end. A cheeky goal from Debs brought the score to 2 all and a further change of end. Another goal from Jimmy brought the score to 3-2 to UEA, and it is believed that some even thought we were going to WIN! But we couldn’t be more wrong – the Knights on-slaught happened! Final score 14-3 to Knights! ‘Nuff said!!!
