Having returned from Sheffield uni’s tournament the day before UEA 1 where disappointed but buoyed from the knowledge that their performances deserved better than 10th place. With this in mind they set out to show just what the squad could achieve against tough opposition such as knights 2. Despite going down early, after a runner sneaked past an otherwise solid defence, UEA battle hard and where rewarded with a classy long shot from Captain Katie to make it one all. Once in attack ‘team defence’ struggled to capitalise on the opportunities they made themselves and although winning a penalty where unable to convert it. The game remained close forcing both teams to make tactical substitutions. However despite a beautiful long shot from Alex and a well executed runner from Swaraj the final score was 3-5 against UEA.
