Who's who in the UEA First Team

	Katie Katie is studying Environmental Sciences and this is her thrid year of Korf. Last year she proved a vital tournament player as she scored more in the Southerns and Nationals alone than in an entire Norfolk League season! She has had a great start to the season so far, she has taken on her role as first team captain and UEA Korfball Vice-President with elegance. Even if she does play with her mouth open her team looks up to her and with one korfball gold medal already in her collection she is looking for another. Katie was once a ball girl at Wimbledon and she has difficulty keeping track of her pants.
	Steph Steph has come to UEA this year (much to Paul's excitement) from our very own rivals Sheffiled Hallam. She is currently training to be a PE teacher. She is a member of the English Student Korfball squad and Knight's first team. Regardless off her many commitments she has shown her enthusiasm for UEA korfball at training sessions and at the Sheffield tournament. With outstanding korfball knowledge and skill she is going to be a key player for UEA. Steph once got angry wit a poor AA man after her car ran out of battery and ended up in a ditch!
	Debs Debs is studying Biology and after taking a year out she is back playing korfball for UEA and is on top form. Debs was part of the second team gold medal winners the year before last. She has an awesome long shot and is captain Katie's division buddy. Debs once got reported missing to the police and her favourite thing to eat is a bagel.
	Hannah This is Hannah's second year playing korfball and she is in her last year of studying Speech and Language Therapy. She wishes she had joined korfball in her first year as she is thoroughly enjoying being part of the club. Hannah was a valuable player at last years second team nationals and hopes to be just a valuable this year as part of the first team.Hannah once nearly killed half the first team by nearly putting them through a road sign at 80mph.
	Becca Becca is currently studying politics (so the publicity sec thinks?)and works as a barmaid. Becca was a important member of team defence last year as part of the second team. But this year she plans to score more goals than ever!! Last year she won the female hot prospect award. As the publicity sec's division buddy you would think there would be loads written about Becca but i guess she is just indescribable! Unknown to some, Becca is the rightful owner of a Dan Brown Award but she somehow managed 2 get away wit it.
	Jess Jess is currently studying Environmental Sciences and this is her second year playing korfball. She impressed everyone last year with her natural flare for the game and won best female newcomer. So she was whisked off to Avon Tyrell where she achieved top girl scorer of the course. So now with her inside knowledge into the rules of korfball she will be needed. The korfball members always inspect Jess’ facebook profile after a night out to check out the photos.
	Jimmy This is Jimmy’s fourth year of korfball, he is currently doing his PGCE and wants to be a Biology teacher. He is also training to be a special constable. Jimmy made an outstanding contribution at last year’s first team nationals and now is the owner of two BUSA gold medals. Jimmy has the remarkable skill of being able to run his players and score from the halfway line. Jimmy once streaked for a fiver and is the only UEA player to get a match ban.
	Paul Korfball’s President Paul is studying medicine and this is his third year playing korfball. Paul has amazing enthusiasm for korfball on and off the pitch. If morale ever starts drop Paul is the one to restore the confidence and remind everyone they are winners! Paul is currently working hard to get rid of his moobs.
	Alex Alex is studying some computer related degree and this is his third year playing korfball. Being one of the club’s social secs he is always out at every gathering. Alex has stepped up to the challenge of the first team well, with an impressive collect and great long shot he will be a significant player this year. Alex is known to cough at inappropriate times.
	Tom Tom is currently studying Politics with media and this is his third year playing korfball. Tom is one of the friendliest guys at the club, he was the first person to speak to me when i joined. Tom has started the season on great scoring form, even if he does put a lot of backspin on his shots.
	Swaraj Swaraj is in his third year studying medicine and this is his second year playing korfball. Last year Swaraj was voted best male newcomer, so he joined Jess at Avon Tyrell. Swaraj returned from this korfball course more on form than ever. Swaraj always gives 100% and has amazing speed on the court. Swaraj's calling is always heard, so his division always know whats going on at the post, opposition have complained that he shouts too loud!
	Adam Adam is in third year studying maths and this is his second year playing korfball. Adam impressed everyone when he joined UEA Korfball Club last year, so much that he won the male hot prospect award. Adam leadership skills have really shone this year as he has taken on his role as the second team's captain. Did you know that Adam is a big Disney fan, with The Lion King being his favourite film. During all day drinkin last year Adam went to A&E totally wrecked!
	Our Coach Ami I don't think I could write about the members of the first team without mentioning Ami and I'm sure the rest of the team would agree. Ami made an outstanding contribution to korfball throughout her UEA years and is continuing her involvement as our team coach. She has been playing korfball from a young age and is the only UEA Korfball member to have 3 BUSA gold medals in her collection. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the game make her a very motivating coach.
