Welcome to the STAR minisite!

We at STAR are a society dedicated to raising awareness of and supporting refugees both locally and nationally.

This year one of STAR'S ultimate aims is to raise awareness of issues surrounding unaccompanied minors. To find out more information on this issue just click on the icon at the top of the page entitled political situation and you will find a variety of facts and answers to your questions.

This website has several functions, such as supplying you with STAR'S objectives, describing the handsome commitee,informing you of past campaigns, issuing monthly newsletters, keeping you updated on the political situation (as mentioned) and finally giving you a choice of contacting us through email or our message board by clicking on communications.

The term asylum seeker is becoming so degrading that i want to remove it from my vocabulary for good. That is why i would rather use the word settler, until the expression loses its meaning in the racial press. F.Rahmanazden
