Committee

President: Nicola Ridgeway

The President overseas all the work done by Amnesty International at UEA, develops good relations with the Union and other officials, writes the agenda and chairs committee meetings and is there to serve all members of the AI society.

Vice President: Abigail Freestone (abbyfreestone@hotmail.com)

The Vice President seeks to care for the other members of the committee and the society, take on resonsibility for areas, which arise and are not covered by the other members and is deputy to the President in situations of absence of illness. The Vice President also plans a variety of socials held for all AI members.

Secretary: Daniel Humphrey (daniel.humphrey@uea.ac.uk)

The Secretary looks after visiting speakers, takes minutes during committee meetings and types them up before the next meeting.

Tresurer: Dean Wadeson (d.wadeson@uea.ac.uk)

The Tresurer is responsible for allocating resources wisely and keeping an account of all money used by the society.

Publicity officer: Catherine Peters

The Publicity Officer reviews and distributes information (posters, leaflets etc) sent from Amnesty HQ and produces specific publicity for UEA Amnesty events.

Communcations Officer: Mark Peirson

The Communcations Officer is resonsible for sending out a weekly e-maiol update to all Amnesty Society members, responding to Amnesty's urgent action e-mails and liasing with other Amnesty groups.

IT Officer: Vacant

The IT co-ordinator ensures the UEA Amnesty International website is up to date, and generally helps out the other committee members.

Union Representative: Vacant

The Union Representative gives the AI society a voice within the Student Union, and helps other commitee members with their respective jobs also.
