How to be a Union Council representative
Do you want to represent your fellow students in your School of study, your Club or Society?
Do you want to play an active role in the way the Union of UEA Students is run?
Do you want to ensure UEA is run in the interests of students?
Then Union Council could be the place for you!
Union Council is made up of representatives from each School of study and each Union Club or Society. To find out if you are represented go here .
Union Council meets roughly four times a semester, and your role will typically take up 3-4 hours a month, although there are numerous opportunities to get more involved if you wish.
Along with representing your fellow students, Union Council reps also develop essential key skills such as public speaking, policy making, meeting participation and communication. Plus it looks great on your CV.

If you would like to be a Union Council representative, look out for nomination forms in the Autumn term, or contact the Academic Officer . There are spaces for reps throughout the year.
