Hey! It’s my job to look after all of the societies at UEA! Societies and clubs are a very important part of university providing a huge range of activities, good opportunities for personal development (good for CVs), and, most importantly, are a perfect way to make friends with like minded people. However, they are time consuming and most people only find time for a couple, so make sure you think carefully about what you are going to spend your valuable time on.
From inside Union House I will help you organise events, book rooms and transport and anything else you might need. If there isn’t a society that does what you want I will be happy to help you set up a new one. Wednesday afternoons are supposed to be free for club and society events and I will be working to keep it this way.
