They were formed in summer 2003, consisting initially of Mark Hayton, bassist Daniel Parkin, drummer Sam Ford and keyboardist and schoolfriend Kai Smith. However the band did not have a vocalist until Craig, a friend of Ford's younger brother joined in a practice one day. He was asked to be the vocalist, but insisted on playing guitar as well. It’s a romp through familiar cat-and-mousery, bolstered by strong star turns from Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. Sharp, observant and true to the period, American Gangster tells a fascinating story with impeccable production design and is an intelligent, well-made and seductive movie. It’s a guaranteed shot of pure heart-pumping entertainment: two and a half hours without a wasted frame.

Written and directed by Adam Brooks, Definitely, Maybe is an enjoyable, emotionally engaging and frequently amusing rom-com with a charming central performance from Ryan Reynolds and superb support from Abigail Breslin and the three lead actresses. Sweet, funny, simple, entertaining - everything a good rom-com should be, the film has enough sophistication and surprise to keep even the most hardened curmudgeon smiling to the bittersweet end.

Directed by the fantastic Coen Brothers, the film stars the very talented Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem and Tommy Lee Jones. With its sly wit, dark intelligence and tense action sequences this film re-establishes the Coens as two of American cinema's most talented directors. Violent, poetic, gripping, thrilling and blackly funny: that’ll be the Coens doing what they do best then. A scorching blast of tense genre filmmaking shot through with rich veins of melancholy, down-home philosophy and dark, dark humor.
FILM: Cloverfield	Ents	1 K	Mon 07 Apr 2008	Thursday 5th June (USA 2007 85m) (15) Cloverfield is a horror movie for the YouTube generation, but for all its newfangled innovations, the movie shares DNA with similarly themed sci-fi yarns from the 1950s. With unknown actors, the film begins at a party in an apartment in New York but rapidly descends into a monster flick as the city is invaded by an unknown threat. Filmed on handheld cameras, the style and quality of this film inject a terrific sense of terror into the old monster movie formula. It’s jaw dropping stuff and feels like one big, masterfully executed experiment in upping the ante in audience manipulation, and it works brilliantly.
FILM: There Will Be Blood	Ents	1 K	Mon 07 Apr 2008	Thursday 12th June (USA 2007 158m) (12A) A story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century prospector (played by Daniel Day Lewis) in the early days of the business. Daniel Day Lewis' blistering, devilish performance is one of the greatest of his accomplished career, and the film turns out to be the best movie of Paul Thomas Anderson's career. This triumphant epic about the bone-breaking, death-defying, orphan-making early days of the oil industry will serve as a benchmark for all of his future films. Whether you will believe The film is a transcendently powerful movie or merely damn good, there's no debate that Day-Lewis' performance is something to behold.

His career is notable for his charismatic stage performances and uncompromising lyrics. In 2005 Fish received a Classic Rock Society special award for 25 years in the music industry. Since the beginning of the 1990s, Fish has also successfully completed numerous film and TV roles, which have demonstrated his versatility as a memorable character actor.

Following release of Southside's first two albums in the U.K., he and the Asbury Jukes made their first trip to England when appearing in 1977 on tour with Graham Parker & The Rumour. Anybody who witnessed the brilliance of those shows knew that they had seen two huge talents in the making. Since then, Southside has racked up 25 years of classic live shows and a total of 16 albums.
