Who were those strange people you saw dressed up as Faries, they were just that, Funky Faries!

Why did I want to be a funky fairy?

• Because its part of the amazing Fairtrade Funkathon, a brilliant two-week marathon of music, grooves and happy times happening at UEA and across the city between 1st and 15th March!

• Because each day the Funkathon caters for a different funky taste – whatever is your thing, there’s an event to give you it!

• Because you'll be part of a wonderful team of eye-catching, sparkling, dressed-up Fairtrade Funky Fairies - an unmissable presence at whichever night/s you choose to help out at

• Why not pick the night you think you’ll have the most fun at… the one you’d probably go to anyway…

What did I do?

• Dressing up as amazing Funky Fairies with fairy wings, funkathon funky fairy t-shirts and balloons all supplied by us (but you can buy your own special kit).

• Getting into one of the Funkathon events absolutely free along with your funky fairy friends

• Welcoming groovers with free chocolate, spreading the word by shaking your Fairly-traded booty, selling shed-loads of Fairtrade stuff, having a laugh, and handing out goodbye gifts when the partying’s nearly done. (But don’t panic! we’ll give you a quick little run down of all things Fairtrade beforehand)

• More than anything, having a load of funky fun on the night and spreading some spectacular Fairtrade love!!!
