Library Training

The Library offers specific training for students to ensure they get the best from Library services. Training sessions range from how to use the electronic library catalogue to effective use of journals. The sessions run throughout the year but extra ones are provided towards the beginning of the academic year. Details of training are advertised in the main Library foyer and on their website . If you have a complaint regarding the Library, fill in a complaint card on the front desk or inform the Academic Officer . The Library website also has a comments and suggestions folder.

Skills Development

The University employs a Skills Development Advisor, based in the Careers Centre, who works to ensure that UEA students are given the opportunity to develop the various skills they learn through their University life, both from academic work and extra-curricular activities. More information about skills development at UEA can be found at the Skills website . UEA also has an online programme called Academic and Personal Development (APD) designed to allow students to identify and develop their individual skills and qualities. APD also offers a form that can be filled in and taken along for discussion with your Academic Advisor.

Careers Centre

The UEA Careers Centre offers a range of courses throughout the year.
