The University has strict rules regarding plagiarism and collusion. These should be presented to you at the beginning of your time at UEA, for example in your school handbook. Your Academic Advisor or Course Director should be able to assist you in understanding these rules. If you are unsure as to what constitutes plagiarism or how to avoid it and do not want to approach a member of the faculty then come and speak to the Academic Officer or one of the Student Union Advice Centre staff. The Dean of Students can also provide information and written guidance on how to avoid plagiarism and correct referencing - www.uea.ac.uk/dos
If you are accused of plagiarism or collusion you can view the Plagiarism and Collusion leaflet under the Academic section in the Leaflet Rack above and/or contact the Advice Centre to talk through the process with one of our Advice Workers.
