Welcome to 'HOME RUN' the on-line Housing Bureau,

maintained by the Union of UEA students.

Finding A House

HOME RUN is committed to helping you find safe, comfortable and fair priced accommodation with responsible landlords.

Before any property is advertised on these pages, we make sure that we have copies of:

A CORGI Gas Safety Certificates (a legal requirement)
A NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA (ECA) Electrical PIR Certificate (a requirement of Home Run)
An HMO licence (if applicable)

We do not visit any property. It is therefore your responsibility to check out your house THOROUGHLY!

Before visiting a property, take a look at our up to date Househunting Guide, Minimum Standards for Landlords and Complaints and Suspension Procedures available free from the Union Advice Centre.

The online 'House Search' is updated regularly. Copies of the 'Housing List' are available from the Union Advice Centre and are updated regularly.

Once you have found a house that you want to rent, we strongly recommend that you call into the Union Advice Centre to make an appointment to have the terms and conditions of your agreement explained to you by one of our Advice Workers.

Feedback

Home Run welcomes all comments about our service and our landlords. Did you attend our annual housing event? What did you think? If you’ve been and looked at any properties on our list, let us know what they were like. Was there anywhere that really impressed you? Or was there room for improvement? Also let us know about your experience with your landlord, do they deal with problems quickly? Are they really friendly? Or have you had any issues? House Shares

If you are looking to form a house share we have a new house share message board where you can post messages or reply to other postings.

Postings will be listed for 30 days. If you would like your posting removed before this time you can email homerun@uea.ac.uk.

Please Note: All postings will be reviewed by the Housing Administrator. There is no need to post the same message twice.

To access the online House Search and the house share message board you will need your UEA "Active Directory" logon and password. These are what you would use to log on to a UEA computer. If you ARE a UEA student and do not know your details you will need to contact the ITCS helpdesk. Access to the housing website is by password only. UEA students simply use their UEA Email user name (i.e. y1234567) and password.

If you are a prospective student or Home Run landlord, you can gain access to the University of East Anglia's Students' Union housing website once we have verified your status.
